The Jazz came to Orlando towards the end of their roadtrip hoping for a victory that would give them the guarantee of a winning record on their pre-Christmas roadtrip.  The first half was ugly with the score of 40-40 after 2 quarters.  The problem with the Jazz is that they can’t defend the 3.  They did a half-hearted effort during the 1st half but their glaring inefficiency at defending the 3 became evident as Orlando, who averages more 3 point attempts and makes than any other team, began shooting very well during the 2nd half.  It still surprises me who the Jazz allow to go off for a career/season high and against Oralando that person was J.J. Redick.  The jazz played decent defense against the reigning Eastern Conference Champions but decent isn’t good enough when you have Vince Carter, Dwight Howard, Rashard Lewis, and a supporting cast of some excellent NBA players.  Too many turnovers and the flaws in the Jazz’ defense are once again exploited.  Will they learn?
